VICTORY IN THE FAMILY

TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)
LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24,2026
TOPIC:VICTORY IN THE FAMILY
BIBLE VERSE
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; … but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
MEDITATION
God’s victory in a family begins when the household deliberately chooses to honour Him and allow His Word to shape its values, decisions, relationships, and priorities. Joshua made a personal declaration that extended to his household: “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Likewise, Noah obeyed God faithfully, and his household entered the ark and was preserved from the flood (Genesis 7:1, 16), while Cornelius gathered his household to hear the message of God, and salvation came to his home (Acts 10:1–2, 24, 44–48). These examples show that one person’s commitment to God can become a powerful spiritual influence within a household, although each family member must ultimately respond to God personally. When prayer, God’s Word, forgiveness, love, and godly example become the foundation of the home, the family is better positioned to withstand pressures that seek to divide it. A victorious family is not a family without challenges; it is a family that chooses to face those challenges together under the lordship of Christ.
PRAYER
Father, let Your presence rule in my family. Give us grace to love one another, forgive one another, and follow Your Word faithfully. Let our home become a place of peace, faith, unity, and godly influence, and help us declare with our lives, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” In Jesus’ name, Amen.
