VICTORY OVER ANXIETY

TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)
LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 22,2026
TOPIC:VICTORY OVER ANXIETY
BIBLE VERSE
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV)
MEDITATION
Anxiety often grows when we focus on what might happen instead of trusting the One who holds our future, but Paul gives us a better response: prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. When we bring our concerns to God and deliberately thank Him for His faithfulness, He exchanges the turmoil within us for His supernatural peace. Hannah provides a beautiful example; deeply distressed by her situation, she poured out her heart before the Lord in prayer, and afterward Scripture says she went her way and “her countenance was no more sad” (1 Samuel 1:10–18). Her circumstances had not yet changed, but her encounter with God changed her heart. In the same way, when anxiety rises, take your concerns to God, thank Him for what He has already done, and trust Him with what you cannot control. God’s peace may not always remove the situation immediately, but it can guard your heart and mind while He works.
PRAYER
Father, I surrender every worry and anxious thought to You. Teach me to pray with faith and thanksgiving, and fill my heart with the peace that surpasses understanding. Help me trust You completely, knowing that You are faithful to care for me and work all things according to Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
