FREE FROM THE OPINION OF MEN

TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)

LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY OCTOBER 5,2026

TOPIC:FREE FROM THE OPINION OF MEN

BIBLE VERSE
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”-Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

MEDITATION
The fear of people’s opinions is an invisible prison that can prevent believers from fulfilling God’s purpose, but true freedom begins when pleasing God becomes more important than winning human approval. Consider Daniel, who refused to abandon his commitment to prayer even when a royal decree threatened him with death in the lions’ den. Rather than compromise his convictions to satisfy the king and his officials, Daniel remained faithful to God, who ultimately delivered him (Daniel 6:10–23). His experience reminds us that freedom is not the absence of opposition but the courage to obey God regardless of public opinion. When our identity is firmly established in Christ, criticism loses its power to control our decisions, rejection cannot destroy our confidence, and the desire for human approval no longer determines our obedience to God.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, deliver me from the fear of people’s opinions and the desire for human approval. Give me the courage to stand for Your truth, remain faithful under pressure, and pursue Your purpose without compromise. May pleasing You always be my greatest desire. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
