FREE INDEED : CELEBRATING TOTAL FREEDOM
TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)
LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR SATURDAY OCTOBER 31,2026
TOPIC:FREE INDEED: CELEBRATING TOTAL FREEDOM
BIBLE VERSE
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”-John 8:36 (KJV)
MEDITATION
The freedom Jesus gives is not a temporary relief from difficult circumstances but a complete liberation from the dominion of sin, the burden of condemnation, and every form of spiritual bondage that once controlled our lives. To be free indeed means to embrace our new identity in Christ, walk confidently in His grace, and celebrate the liberty we have received through His finished work on the cross. The transformation of the demon-possessed man of Gadara provides a powerful example of what it means to experience and celebrate total freedom. Before encountering Jesus, he lived among tombs, was tormented by evil spirits, could not be restrained by chains, and had lost his dignity and peace. However, after Jesus delivered him, he was found sitting at the feet of Christ, clothed and in his right mind, and Jesus commissioned him to return home and testify to the great things God had done for him (Luke 8:26–39). His transformation demonstrates that genuine freedom restores not only our relationship with God but also our dignity, peace, and sense of purpose. As believers, we must celebrate our freedom by living in obedience to God’s Word, refusing to return to the bondage of our past, enjoying the peace of our new identity, and sharing our testimonies with others. We are not merely people who have escaped bondage; we are people whom the Son has made free indeed.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the total freedom I have received through Jesus Christ. Help me to enjoy this liberty, stand firm in Your grace, and never return to the bondage from which You have delivered me. Let my life continually reflect the joy, peace, and victory of one who is free indeed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
