BIBLE VERSE
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD; and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” — Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
MEDITATION
Negative words can hurt and discourage, but they do not have the final say over the believer’s life. When Goliath spoke words of intimidation against Israel, David refused to believe them and declared his confidence in God: “I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts” (1 Samuel 17:45). Nehemiah likewise ignored mockery and continued rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls through prayer and faith (Nehemiah 4:1–6). Jesus overcame Satan’s deceptive words by responding, “It is written” (Matthew 4:1–11). In the same way, we can overcome negative words by anchoring our hearts in God’s promises, refusing to accept contrary voices, and speaking God’s truth over our lives. People may speak against you, but God’s Word speaks for you. Stand on His truth, and do not allow negative words to determine your identity, confidence, or destiny.
PRAYER
Father, shield my heart from every negative word. Help me to believe Your truth above every contrary voice and give me grace to speak words of faith, hope, and life. Keep me firmly established in Your promises and walking in victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
