BIBLE VERSE

MEDITATION
Negative words can wound the heart, weaken confidence, and make people believe that their lives are defined by the judgments of others, but God’s truth gives believers the strength to rise above destructive words and embrace His purpose. Joseph is a powerful example: his brothers despised him, rejected his dreams, and sold him into slavery, yet their actions could not destroy God’s purpose for his life (Genesis 37:5–28; 50:20). Even when he was falsely accused and imprisoned, Joseph remained faithful, and God eventually elevated him to a position where he could preserve many lives. Joseph’s story reminds us that the negative words and actions of others do not have the final authority over our destiny. As believers, we must reject words that contradict God’s truth, guard our hearts against destructive speech, and learn to speak words that encourage, heal, and build others up.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, deliver me from the destructive influence of negative words and help me to believe what You say about my life. Heal every wound caused by hurtful speech, strengthen my confidence in Your promises, and teach me to speak words that bring life, hope, and encouragement. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
