BIBLE VERSE
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:10–11 (KJV)
MEDITATION
Spiritual warfare is a reality for every believer, but God has not left us defenceless. Ephesians 6:10–11 calls us to draw our strength from the Lord and put on the whole armour of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy. This armour includes truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14–17). Jesus demonstrated the power of this armour when He resisted Satan’s temptations in the wilderness by standing firmly on Scripture, repeatedly declaring, “It is written” (Matthew 4:1–11). Daniel likewise remained faithful when his life was threatened because he refused to compromise his devotion to God (Daniel 6:10–23). These examples teach us that victory in spiritual warfare comes through dependence on God, faithfulness to His Word, prayer, and steadfast resistance. The enemy may bring temptation, fear, accusation, deception, or intimidation, but 1 John 4:4 assures us that “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” When we stand firmly in Christ and continually put on God’s armour, we can overcome every spiritual attack and remain victorious.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the armour You have provided and for the victory I have through Christ. Strengthen me to stand firmly in Your truth, guard my heart with righteousness, increase my faith, and make me steadfast in prayer and Your Word. Help me resist every scheme of the enemy and walk boldly in victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
