RECEIVING GRACE TO PURSUE
TESTAMENT OF GRACE GLOBAL ASSEMBLY (GRACE REVIVAL CENTRE)
LIFELINES DEVOTIONAL FOR WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 4,2026
TOPIC:RECEIVING GRACE TO PURSUE
BIBLE VERSE
“And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” (KJV) -1 Samuel 30:8
MEDITATION
One of the greatest challenges after experiencing loss is finding the strength and courage to rise again and pursue what has been taken away. Sometimes, prolonged disappointment, repeated failures, betrayal and discouragement can weaken our determination until we begin to accept situations that God wants us to confront through faith. When David received divine instruction to pursue the Amalekites, he needed more than a desire for recovery; he needed God’s grace to overcome exhaustion, confront the enemy and reclaim what had been taken. A powerful example of this grace is found in the life of Jonathan, who, accompanied only by his armour-bearer, courageously confronted a Philistine outpost, declaring that nothing could hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few (1 Samuel 14:6–14). His confidence was not in numerical strength but in God’s ability to empower those who trust Him. Beloved, God’s grace does not merely comfort us when we lose something; it also empowers us to rise, confront obstacles, take appropriate action and pursue the restoration of what has been lost. Do not allow yesterday’s disappointment to paralyse today’s faith, because the same God who calls you to pursue is able to strengthen you for the journey and lead you into victory. Receive grace to pursue, courage to confront opposition and faith to recover all that God has ordained for your life.
PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, release fresh grace upon my life to pursue every blessing, opportunity and purpose that has been delayed or lost. Deliver me from discouragement, strengthen my hands for the battle and give me victory over every obstacle standing in the way of my recovery. I receive grace to pursue and recover all. Amen.
